On 5th March, Jonathan and Corinna Downes, the Director and Administrator of the Centre for Fortean Zoology [CFZ] the world's largest mystery animal research organisation, fly to Texas. Together with their friends and colleagues Richie and Naomi West who very generously financed the expedition, they will spend two weeks continuing the research into the Texas blue dogs, first carried out by Jonathan Downes in November 2004..

Goodbyes


It was with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to Jon and Corinna yesterday. We miss them terribly.

    What a wonderful time with a great couple. I really enjoyed Corinna's subtle humor and quietly spoken understatements. She had Naomi and I rolling in laughter.

    Jon was always kind. We will miss his occasional maniacal laughing outbursts as well as his constant ranting about the "bloody colonials".

    Thank you my dears. It was a magickal seventeen days, and it passed like a dream. Now I am back in England jetlagged to hell and wondering where it all went.

    It was two weeks that we shall remember for the rest of our lives, and we cannot wait to see u again
